A free perinatal mental health support group for New Zealand mums. A safe, judgement-free space to talk, connect, and feel supported through pregnancy and early parenthood.
Motherhood changes more than your daily routine. It changes your identity, relationships, priorities, and sense of self. This transition, known as matrescence, is a profound developmental journey. It can be beautiful, empowering, challenging, and at times overwhelming, often all at once.
Pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood can bring immense joy, but they can also bring anxiety, loneliness, self-doubt, grief, and uncertainty. These feelings are more common than many parents realise, and you don’t have to face them alone.
Our free Perinatal Mental Health Support Group is open to all New Zealand parents and offers a compassionate, judgement-free space to talk openly about how you’re feeling, connect with others who understand, and receive support from an experienced professional.
Whether you’re working through emotional ups and downs during pregnancy, adjusting to life with a new baby, or simply wanting a space where you can be honest about your experience, you are welcome here.
You do not need a diagnosis or formal mental health concern to attend. This group is for any parent seeking connection, understanding, and support during the perinatal period.
Meet Your Facilitator

The group is facilitated by Liora Noy, Obstetric Postnatal Nurse, Lactation Consultant, Parenting and Postnatal Depression Educator.
Drawing on her extensive experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, feeding, and early parenthood, Liora provides evidence-based information alongside compassionate guidance in a safe and supportive environment.
Her approach is centred on helping mothers feel heard, understood, and capable of moving forward, as they navigate one of life’s biggest transitions.

Each session is guided by the needs of the group, allowing space for open discussion, shared experiences, practical strategies, and connection.
Why Attend?
This group offers:
- A safe and confidential space to share openly
- Professional guidance from an experienced perinatal educator
- Evidence-based information and practical coping strategies
- Connection with others experiencing similar challenges

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can hear is “Me too.”
